CHARLES SKORMAN
The first time I stepped into a gym I was 13 years old, and from that day on I never left. Even through the roughest times of my life I have never stopped working out. Fitness is the only aspect that has remained constant throughout my entire life.
Throughout my fitness journey, the desire to find a training method that would deliver the best results led me to try many different styles. This eventually brought me to powerlifting, where I was mentored by elite powerlifter Dan Green, to whom I owe most of my foundation as a trainer. That experience reshaped my life and deepened my passion for fitness to the point where I pursued certification as a personal trainer so I could give back what fitness has given me. The National Academy of Sports Medicine sets the standard for personal trainer certification, and meeting that bar matters to the clients I serve.
Since then I have trained clients from all walks of life, from teenagers to older adults. I use constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity, scaled up or down to match each person’s fitness level. Whether the goal is to lose weight, gain muscle, get stronger, or improve performance, I work with my clients as a team. As a trainer, I aim to use fitness as a tool to help clients prepare for life, mentally and physically. Resources like CDC physical activity guidelines reinforce why consistent, structured training makes such a difference.
