Dumbyworld!

Ciara is an Asian American woman from the California Central Valley. She uses she/they pronouns and works a day job in the academic sector. Beyond digital art, Ciara explores self-expression through poetry, music, and traditional art mediums. Her biggest artistic influences for Dumbyworld are Jellycat and Ohmonah, a world she covers in much more depth in the Artist Spotlight: The Creative World of DumbyWorld in 2025.

The shop name “Dumbyworld” comes from Ciara’s personal online username. She likes things that are a little dumb or a little silly, because a touch of silliness brings a lot of charm.

Ciara creates her work using a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and Clip Studio Paint Pro, alongside physical sketchbooks and pens. She has been drawing all her life and crocheting since early 2024.
